About this place
At Tonsuke Anryu, you can choose demi-glace or grated daikon ponzu with your tonkatsu. One diner described a thick yet tender cutlet, generously covered in demi-glace and well suited to a bowl of rice. Another enjoyed the way the sauce complemented the cutlet’s moderate amount of fat. The lunch menu offers a large portion for a more substantial meal, or a small one if you’d prefer less, so it’s easy to choose a serving size to suit your appetite.
You can also pair the pork cutlet with pork tenderloin or a fried prawn. The lunch special of fried prawns and pork tenderloin is an option when you’d like to try two kinds of fried food. Cheese chicken katsu is also on the menu; one diner who ordered it said it had cheese and shiso leaf inside, and that it went well with rice.
For a curry-based meal, the lunch menu includes katsu curry with a choice of pork loin or tenderloin. Other curry options include pork loin katsu curry, pork tenderloin katsu curry and fried prawn curry. You can choose hot or iced coffee afterwards, making it easy to round off lunch with a cup. Lunch is served from 11:30 to 14:00, and the restaurant is closed on Thursdays.
